Need A Special Gift Idea?

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love pens. "Obsessed" has been the word most used by my husband. I know I mentioned in a previous blog how passionate I am about writing. From the time I can remember, I have kept journals to write about little snippets of my life. Every now and then, I'll run across an old journal and read what I wrote. It's always interesting to read what I was going through, struggling with, excited about, encouraged about. At the same time, it can get discouraging to read things that I've struggled with, thought I somewhat conquered, and find myself still wrestling with the same old things.

Writing in my journal has always been therapy for me. That's why, having a pen (or two) that mean something special to me when I write, makes it that much more special and therapeutic. Add to that, these special pens were handmade BY a man that helped counsel me through some very difficult things....well, that's just off the charts for being meaningful.

I share this on my blog for one, because I'm not afraid to geek out about my love for pens. But I also wanted to give some people some ideas for gifts, now that we are officially just 5 months away from Christmas. We all know that the guys in our lives can be the hardest to buy for. But this can be a very unique and personal gift that is well worth it.

Gary specializes in making pens from saved deer antlers, transforming your man's saved antlers "into a pen that serves as a lifetime reminder of their hunt." He has "the experience, knowledge and craftsmanship to turn your antler into a treasured memory." And even if you're not a hunter or don't have a hunter in your family or close to you, these pens are simply beautiful in the way they are made and I love the way they write.

I just wanted to add some pictures of the two pens that I have received from Jones Pens Antler Memories so you can see how nice they are. Please take a minute to check them out and keep them in mind for upcoming gifts for those special people in your life.
